Fox proof fencing
Foxes can devastate poultry and young livestock, however preventing them from gaining access can be difficult.
At Suddenstrike we have over 30 years experience installing exclusion fences, using only the highest quality exclusion netting and installation methods that are recommended for poultry units as fox proof.
Suddenstrike has recently completed a project for a local free range poultry farm, installing 1,000m of fence line around the unit to prevent foxes from gaining access and attacking the poultry.
Fox fences need to be constructed to a height to prevent foxes from jumping or climbing over, whilst having sufficient protection at the base of the fence so that foxes can not dig under. It is also recommended that electric wire be used around the fence as an added deterrent.
Examples of mesh available to construct a fox proof poultry pen include standard galvanised weld mesh along with systems available from Tornado Wire and X™Fence®.
All materials in our fences are from top names within the industry and are installed by our expert teams. All wooden materials are from sustainable managed woodlands to FSC standards and are available either pressure or creosote treated for a longer life span.
All fences are installed by our dedicated expert teams of installers using the latest and best equipment available for fence installations.
